Happenings...

I was camping this past weekend so I missed my favorite saint's feast day! Saturday the 23rd was Padre Pio's feast day! And since I took Francesca Pio as my Confirmation name in honor of him, it was my feast day too (so to speak)! So what did I do to celebrate? I went to a cold, rainy picnic all day, and ate jello! I think my patron was trying to teach me something about suffering (the cold rain, not the jello)...

Our next edition will feature 3 memes for your viewing pleasure....

Thanks to Holly for the neat picture she made me.
BTW If you can't read it on the picture, the quote is the same one I have on my side-bar.

The Mystery of the Abbey....

I don't own it, but have had the pleasure of playing this fun, P.O.D. game on two separate occasions. It's a lot like Clue, but more complicated. Someone at the abbey is murdered and you have to figure out 'who dun it'. There's the Templars, the Benedictines, and the Franciscans. The board is in Latin, some of the cards have saint quotes on them, and everyone has to go to the Chapel for Mass every 4 turns (you get to ring a bell when it's time for Mass). One of the "event cards" said that every player must (instead of talking) chant everything until the next Mass. It's not available on Amazon yet, but I'm hoping it will be in time to add to my Christmas list.
